Gabriola Volunteer Fire Department (GVFD) is a paid on-call fire department providing fire protection and emergency response services to the community of Gabriola Island.
Across British Columbia and Canada, many fire protection and emergency service workers are represented by CUPE. CUPE members in fire and emergency services support public safety through ongoing training, preparedness, and coordinated response, ensuring their communities receive dependable, professional service when it matters most.
